Hello Again

Much apologies for the few days of blogging silence over here at Rhi & Benner Inc. The computer was sitting in its lonesome box for a few days while we finished packing up and cleaning our cozy little apartment. But now we're done, and we're officially living with our good friends Phil and Rachel Lozano for a few weeks until we embark upon our magical journey across this country of ours.

Phil and Rachel are angels sent by God, true salt of the earth-type people who recognized a time of need and welcomed us into their home when we needed it. Actually, they're so cool and welcoming about us living with them that it's almost kind of strange. I think I would be grumbling a lot more if people showed up with an apartment full of stuff and were like, "we're here to take over your extra room and disrupt your life for a month." But not these two. We love them.

Also awesome people: Andrew and Jessica Richardson. They helped us move the last of our stuff out and then hung out for like 19 hours helping us clean, spackle and paint the place. Then they cooked us dinner later. And aside from being general blessings in a hundred different ways, they never seemed to get tired, bored, annoyed or anything. Did we mention they have a 3-year-old daughter named Anabel? Amazingly, she never got bored or tired either, and was entertaining us through the entire day. The Richardsons are also amazing, God-sent people without whom we would not have been able to move out of our place. Thanks go to them in a big, BIG way.

I'll write more about this later, but one of the coolest things about this whole ordeal is how loving and supportive our friends and community have been. You guys are awesome.
