Catch Up Time, Part VIII: Bennerthday Party!

I (Benner) turned 28 this past week, and we celebrated last night with a party at a bar/old school arcade called Blipsy Barcade. It was awesome! Here are just a bunch of photos:

Catch Up Time, Part VII: LA Galaxy

We have finally found a Los Angeles sports team we can in good conscience root for:

The LA Galaxy! We went to a game recently and it was a blast. The shot above was taken just moments before David Beckham scored on a free kick. It feels strangely awesome that we can officially say that we've seen Beckham score a goal. (And yes, he did bend it.)

That's our good friend Chapman. He came with us. Clearly.

Catch Up Time, Part VI: We love when friends come to visit

Catch Up Time, Part V: We love Skype and miss our friends

We crashed Micah's birthday party and it was awesome.

Then we got to meet baby Jane. Double awesome!

This is old, but we love the Heins and Abigail just turned 2, so why not include it?!

Catch Up Time, Part IV: Oh nothing, just hanging out with the best basketball player in the world

The show sent Rhianwen to Miami for a live-shot and to hang out with this guy. It was a pretty crazy day.

Catch Up Time, Part III: The Ace Hotel in Palm Springs

Back in March, Rhianwen surprised me with a trip to The Ace Hotel in Palm Springs. Our good friends the Jongs also joined us, which was another pleasant surprise. The Ace is a very cool hotel that is just drenched in mid-century modern style, which we both happen to love.

This is probably the coolest bedroom we've ever slept in.

Our room opened up on this awesome patio area. And hey look, there's Greg playing the ukulele!

Look at this really cool wicker elephant on the wall of the awesome restaurant/diner! Dani and Rhianwen are there too.

Catch Up Time, Part II: New Mexico!

I, Rhianwen, had the privilege of visiting my godmother France in Albuquerque this past February. She is a remarkable woman who has lived a big, adventurous life! It was a very special time.

I was still getting the hang of the camera.

She spoiled me the entire time with rich food and her fine French cooking, not to mention her company!

And I had a delightful afternoon with my tia Wynnie, talking for hours and strolling through Santa Fe.
I had a nice visit with Barbara as well, who also spoiled me with her gourmet cooking. Come to think of it, I should go to New Mexico more often!

I also visited the gravesite of my beloved Nain and Taid at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. They were both veterans, but of course much more too.

We went to see Sarah, Steve and Naomi up in San Francisco back in February.
