Vegas!

After three years in LA, we finally made the not-such-a-big trip to Vegas! It's just a four-hour drive that we had often thought about making, but never got around to doing it. Then Aunt Janet and Uncle Steve were there for a conference and invited us up for the weekend -- the offer included dune buggy riding -- and we made it.

We had a blast! Rhianwen enjoyed the most delicious mojito of her life at the Vdara hotel bar. Our hearts raced as we zipped around the desert and flew over dunes in the dune buggy. We saw our first Cirque du Soleil show, Ka, which was incredible. And we had fun just hanging out with Janet and Steve. We were strategic in our sight seeing, so while we were only there a for 2 days we saw a lot of the strip. Rhianwen learned how addicting gambling can be, as she lost some money to the slot machines. She's set on winning next time. Benner secretly won a million dollars, but he's not telling anyone.
